Location: Pembroke Road, Ellacombe, Torquay
Numerous calls were received at fire control to report a fire at the above location. Due to the amount of calls fire control mobilised three fire engines from Paignton and Teignmouth. The fire engines from Torquay were dealing with another incident at the time.
On arrival crews found there to be a shed well alight and the fire had spread to the flat roof of a neighbouring property. They immediately set to work using two hose reel jets, four breathing apparatus and a safety jet.
1707 - Crews are working on the flat roof of the neighbouring property cutting away hotspots. They are using safety at height equipment, small tools and short extension ladder.
1803 - FINAL DETAILS The shed has been completely destroyed by fire, and the corner of a flat roof has been severely damaged. Four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, two main jets, small tools, two thermal imaging cameras, a ground monitor were used to extinguish the fire.
